Winner of the Web Excellence Awards 2024

A government funded initiative, Enterprise4All provides education courses that will enhance and expand a person’s experience and CV, in order to help them follow a new career path and get them into work.

The Challenge

E4A’s old website and brand was dated and didn’t accurately represent what the company was about. They wanted a new brand that reflected the company values of accessibility, inclusivity and empathy and effectively outlined everything the courses had to offer.

Design & Innovation

As always, understanding the websites audience was key. We needed a brand that was professional, accessible and youthful. We chose a colour palette of white and blues, with yellow as an accent colour. This complimentary combination created a fresh and energetic visual identity that speaks to both the target audience and the company values.

The dark blue conveys intelligence and stability and grounds the scheme, while the white space allows a feeling of openness. The yellow accents lend a playful and youthful edge to the brand. Yellow is indicative of success and confidence and was the perfect match to the blue tones.

Keeping the copy sections nicely spaced and interspersed with graphics and images allows the user to fully take in all aspects of the site and follow clear paths to action. What I loved most about this design was the minimalistic yet fun style of the new branding, and the incorporation UI graphics.

Functionality and Usability

The main usability needed on the site was imparting a lot of information to potential students. One of E4A’s values is accessibility so it was really important that the site felt easy to use and navigate. The large amount of white space we used across the site, allowed us to include lots of text without it looking busy or overwhelming. All the key pathways are clearly defined and easy to see.

Client Impact

The final site has been successful in attracting new students and the Client was over the moon with the final result. It’s been great to be part of such an impactful project that helps young people to further themselves.
